Or anyone else that needs a refresher on their ABCs.
A coworker is having a baby. Today was actually her last day at work. She is hilarious and totally cracks me up. She keeps saying, “yep, we’ll see how it goes.”
She requested no gifts and no showers. But of course, you can’t let someone get by with NOTHING! Please. Everyone loves presents, and who are we to deny that little boy some major SWAG. Another coworker had a brilliant idea. An ABC book. But not just any ABC book. An ABC book made by friends. Each person gets a letter or 2 and makes a page based on that specific letter. And we are suppose to use felt. Those were the only stipulations.
I got G and C. My favorites! Well, my favorites after B, R, Y, and N.
I decided on a Giraffe and Carrots. Nick said giraffe might be tough for the little guy. I say, he needs a good challenge. And to be honest, I couldn’t come up with any other cute “G” themes. I thought the hard part would be coming up with the idea an cutting out the felt. Boy was I wrong. The hard part was sewing everything (by hand). But let’s be real. How cute is this?

Notice the blades of grass and the individual spots on the giraffe? It’s all in the detail peeps! And the leaves actually move a little since I only sewed them down the middle. Only time will tell if that was a poor choice. 
I would do this for a FRIEND in a heartbeat. However, it took a really long time, and I’m not even done with Carrots. Needless to say, you will not find me selling these books on etsy. If I do, they will cost upwards of $10k. But if you’ve got a pregnant friend and 26 friends (well, 25 counting yourself), this would be a great gift. (I don’t recommend this as a shower activity unless you use that heat bond stuff. Cutting is quick, sewing took a few hours.)
