and I were in New York a week or so ago. He attends a conference there each year, and I decided to tag along this time. This was my third venture to the big apple so I had already knocked a large number of “must sees” off my list. It was going to be a “leisurely” paced trip – as leisurely as New York can be.
I started off by taking some dance classes at Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey. A little ballet, a little hip hop. You know you wish you were there too. Especially the hip hop. I swear I use to be more ghetto.
We hit up Times Square….mostly because it was between us and the conference.
For some reason, an instagram picture makes it look a little less crazy and hectic. Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t work in real life and we endured the cluster F&^% that IS Times Square on a daily basis 🙂
We experienced not 1 but 2 torrential downpours. I was ill prepared both times. I now know why people think it would suck to live in Seattle. They think it rains in Seattle like it rains here. Sheets literally started falling from the sky. We narrowly escaped a complete soak. Now I know why people like umbrellas. I still hate them, but I get it.
Also that night, we saw this car:
There were actually 2. Brothers I assume. I don’t know why you’d drive a car like that in New York. You’re just asking for a scratch. The insurance must be insane. Needless to say, I’ll be keep my car in the country 🙂
