New Year’s Eve

We’re headed back to California today.  A slightly belated departure due almost entirely to the stressfulness of the UW/Baylor game (“how do you score 56 pts and lose!” – Nick said this about 5 times) and the large amount of snow calling Nick’s name.  See, it was all Nick’s fault 🙂

How about a year in review?  This is a long post….I feel like I should get extra credit for the length.

January

February

  • Things are going crazy in Libya and the world takes notice.
  • Christina Aguilera botches the words to the Star Spangled Banner, at the Super Bowl.  Oops!
  • Egyptian president Mubarak steps down.

March

  • Crazy earthquake/tsunami hits Japan.
  • Charlie Sheen unleashes #tigerblood.

April

  • The 2nd greatest wedding ever.  Kate and Wills.  (the first being ours, in Cabo, duh).

May

  • Osama Bin Laden is killed.

June

  • New York legalizes same sex marriage.

July

  • Casey Anthony found not guilty of murdering her daughter…

August

  • Nick and I fuel our Harry Potter withdrawal and see Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying while in NY.
  • Kim Kardashian marries Kris Humphries.

September

  • American hikers released from Iran (maybe they’ll learn to stay further away from unfriendly borders).
  • Occupy Wall Street begins.

October

  • Steve Jobs dies.
  • Kim Kardashain files for divorce on Halloween.  wah wah.
  • Cardinals win the world series!
  • Gaddafi dies.

November

  • Penn State debacle makes headlines.  Wonder if admissions will be as competitive this year.
  • Demi Moore files for divorce from Ashton Kutcher.

December

  • Kim Jong Il dies.
  • Katy Perry and Russel Brand decide to divorce.
  • NASA discovers a new “habitable” planet.  Yay.
Whew!  What did I miss?  Here’s to fewer divorces and more bad people kicking the bucket?
Happy New Year!
