It’s only 10:20PM, so I can still start the year off right with a blog post!
I bet some of you felt like Mochi this morning! Not sure what he was hungover from, but this is the first time I’ve seen him hanging halfway off the couch. Kid’s tired.
We had a successful drive back from Seattle. 13 hours flat. Sounds worse. This year we had the help of Apple! iPads and iPhones to help pass the time.
This morning, I made ozoni. It’s a Japanese soup with mochi (little rice balls, but not as little as the kind that go on fro-yo).
After breakfast we cleaned and organized. Our car basically exploded into the dining room when we got home.
Then it was off to our neighbors for some traditional Japanese food. Some of the best eating you’ll do all year. Do yourself a favor, if a Japanese person ever invites you to their Auntie or Grandma’s house for New Year’s food, take them up on the offer. I’m still full and debating about getting into child’s pose.
More cleaning and purging. Thankfully, I don’t have to go to work tomorrow, so I have one more day of vacation! Happy New Year!

[…] Supposedly, dogs can see movement up to 985 yards away. Don’t tell Moch. […]
