Oregon Trail was an AWESOME computer game. You played it on a mac and it used big ol’ floppy disks.
If you were like me, you played it at school during your 1/2 hour of computer time. This was never enough time to actually make it to Oregon, so sometimes you stayed in at recess to try and finish the game. Just me?
Now, maybe you picked a “grueling” pace, but most of your family died along the way. Because, duh, you put your name first on the list – so you are the last one to die.
And the best part about the Oregon Trail? HUNTING!!! How fun was that? You needed to make sure you stocked up on bullets.
And it was always so annoying how you could kill a 1000lb buffalo but could only carry 100lbs back.
Making it to Oregon was relatively anticlimactic….but it was still one of the greatest games ever.
