I’m a lucky girl. I will not deny that fact whatsoever.
My dad flies a lot. And he was nice enough to use some of his fancy passes to upgrade me to business class to and from London.
I’m spoiled. It was amazing. If you don’t want to know how nice international business class is, just stop reading. But if you want to learn….
The seats actually go completely flat. And when I’m sitting upright, my feet can’t even touch the seat in front of me. They also give you a little diddy-bag. Ours had an eye mask, socks, and philosophy beauty products (lotion, lip balm etc).
I forced myself to only watch a movie during dinner (21 Jump Street). I needed to take advantage of the comfy sleeping arrangements so I could be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed upon arrival. But let’s get back to dinner. Warm cashews and sparkling water to start things off. Nick loves cashews so I felt a little bad enjoying them without him (but it didn’t stop me from eating the whole bowl…he’d want it that way).
This was followed by a mozzarella/roasted pepper salad with some chilled shrimp for the appetizer. Then it was the beef tenderloin and gnocchi for the main. I was decently full at this point, but I sure as heck was going to finish every course they stuck in front of me! Business Class doesn’t happen often and I wanted to soak it all in!
Next came the cheese and fruit plate – they also offered me port….but I declined. And we finished up with an ice cream sundae – to try and be “healthy” I had it plain. The guy next to me had a cup of maraschino cherries, no ice cream, just cherries. You can do whatever you want in b-class.
Then I tried my best to sleep…..it sort of worked. Either way, it was an experience! Thanks, Daddy-o!
