lasagne this past weekend. I made it Thursday night so we could just pop it in the oven on Friday.
Did I mention we don’t really keep bread in the house anymore?
It was about 3PM on Friday when I decided that we really needed bread with our lasagne. But it was far too late to make some from scratch. No time for all that rising and kneading and rising business. So I looked up “quick bread recipes” on google. What did I find? Recipes for beer bread.
I am apparently the last person on the planet to learn about beer bread. It totally makes sense. And guess what we have in the house? Lots of beer.
So I made a super simple recipe and it turned out delicious! It was a tad on the sweet side, which I didn’t mind, but just an FYI for anyone making it out there.
Ingredients
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) can beer
2Tbs melted butter
1. Mix dry ingredients with beer
