We headed south after Santa Barbara to spend a quick weekend with our friends, Caresse and Tyler.
We started the weekend off with a trip to Dodgers Stadium. Nick is trying to check off all the baseball stadiums, and this was #16 out of 30.
After getting the low down from a few friends, we had our expectations set pretty low. We were told, “don’t expect Safeco” and “don’t expect Pacbell.” It’s an older stadium but not quite classic It’s no Fenway or Wrigley. With that kind of setup, naturally, I was expecting a hideous stadium. The worst I’ve seen so far? The Oakland A’s coliseum. I feel like I’m in a concrete prison. It’s just not pretty, it always seems a little damp and sometimes I’m scared to go the bathroom.
We got some sweet seats on StubHub that included parking passes. Best. Deal. Ever. Closest I’ve ever parked to ballpark. Aside from an abundance of police, we loved the stadium! Easter egg colored seats and the vintage scoreboard, it was a great throwback and the Dodger dog wasn’t bad!

There’s an abundance of police there because the Dodgers fans put a Giants fan in the hospital last season.
Great seats. Great team. So glad you had your expectations exceeded. Classic in its own way!
