We still haven’t decided what to call the house. I think it will be interchangeable for the time being. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
We had a whopping 15 people over on Sunday (3 kids)! I was worried (who me?) but we all fit just fine.
I totally forgot to take a picture of our spread, but it was epic. Bacon wrapped scallops with avocado, lettuce, cilantro, green onions and home made sriracha sauce, shrimp strata, cheesy potatoes, roasted chicken, deviled eggs and strawberries with brown sugared sour cream.
And then there was the dessert table. There’s a place in town called the Donut Wheel. Everyone knows about them. They are open 24 hours a day and make pretty delicious donuts. Apparently their filled donut holes are to-die-for, but also impossible to get. Lisa woke up early on Sunday to get some. And they didn’t disappoint. I think they are better than regular filled donuts because of the filling to donut ratio. Typically, there is WAY too much filling for my taste. This was the perfect combo.
I also made a lemon cake (box mix + a few extras) and a chocolate cake (box). I’d say the dessert spread was a little intense. I think work people will be receiving the leftovers……we can’t have this many sweets in the house. What did you have for dessert at your Easter party?
