trying out this whole “gluten free” thing.
So last Friday we tried 2 different kinds of gluten free pizza.
If you make GF pizza dough from scratch, a lot of recipes call for GF flour and xanthan gum. And there was definitely no xanthan gum at Safeway. BUT there WAS a GF section at Safeway that sold GF pizza dough mix. Perfect!
I also stopped by a local pizza shop that supposedly has very good GF pizza. They sold me a pre-made crust. We were ready to run our experiment!
The GF pizza dough mix was my favorite. Might have had something to do with the toppings: sausage, rosemary potatoes, ranch dressing (don’t knock it til you try it), mozzarella…..and I think that was it. It was a very thin crust type of pizza.
So if you’re in the market for some GF pizza, give it a try!
