UW Softball

Happy 4-Day-Week!

We ended up having a very busy weekend, but no complaints.  Spent time with lots of different friends, with lots of different activities.

Saturday and Sunday evenings were filled with UW softball.  The huskies were in town to play Cal in the Super Regionals.  (I don’t know why they were super….just go with it).

Before the game on Saturday we went to Fenton’s Creamery.  Imagine milking a unicorn (pretend it has udders) and turning it into ice cream.  That’s how magical it was.

out they also serve real food.  So we opted to split a burger and save room for dessert.  This picture doesn’t really do the sundae justice.  It was really big.  Bigger than something any normal sized person should ever eat.  Nick initially scoffed at sharing, but was later thankful that we went in on it together.  The bottom was lined with chocolate chip cookies, topped with cookies n cream and cookie dough ice cream, topped with chocolate sauce, marshmallow topping, whipped cream, ore crumbles and a cherry. I’d eat another.

Thankfully, Cal’s softball stadium is a hike and we were able to burn a few calories walking to the game.

The huskies were not very victorious….but it was still fun to see some girls play some amazing ball.  They throw hard.  Holy crap.

Highlight of the night?  I got asked if I was a recruit.  A high school recruit.  This means 2 things.  I still look 18 (to some) and I look athletic enough to play D1 ball (which I’ll take as a compliment).  Haha.  Come watch me Tuesday nights.  Co-ed business.  But thanks for making my night!
