So our friends Dan and Angela are visiting and they are all about social media. I’m about it, but not nearly as hardcore. But I’m trying.
They finally convinced me to jump on the twitter bandwagon. What finally made me crack? One of their friends won a signed Mariner’s baseball for retweeting something about the Mariners. WTF?! I’ll retweet anything for a signed Mariners baseball.
I head to twitter to get an account. Brynashley, duh?! Guess what. It’s taken. By who? A Brynashley imposter! I’m sure she’s very sweet, but she hasn’t posted anything since last April. I debated about what to do. Do you go with bryn_ashley? Probably not, just creates confusion. Do you go with brynmiyahara? Probably not, there’s the “that’s way too long” factor (that’s what she said?) and then there’s the “what if I ever change my name? I’ll lose all my followers?!”
Then I decided to just pick a new name. So, @brynash it is.
I have a fear that everything I tweet must be witty…..we’ll see if that happens.
If anyone knows the other brynashley, see if you can convince her to give up her username.
If you’re at all interested, feel free to start following me. I signed up for the account while we were at a bar, watching the huskies OWN Arizona. So the first few tweets are about that.
